The newly refocused Western Plastics Association sprung from the long-established California Film Extruders & Converters Association. Named WPA’s Executive Director, Laurie Hansen is overseeing the group’s transition and helping to set its agenda. In addition, the Sacramento-based Hansen is an independent lobbyist and public affairs consultant whose clients have included the American Chemistry Council, Pactiv Corp., Heritage Bag Co., Metabolix Inc., and the California Film & Bag Alliance. During Plastics News’ 2012 Executive Forum, Hansen will outline the key issues that WPA is facing. The Forum will take place Jan. 29-Feb. 1 at Tampa’s Saddlebrook Resort.
Join Hansen and other industry officials as they discuss key topics and issues in the plastics industry. Register or find more program details at: www.plasticsnews.com/forum2012.
