Plastic: A Toxic Love Story author to speak to Western Plastics group

NORWALK, CALIF. (March 7, 12:15 p.m. ET) — Susan Freinkel, author of Plastic: A Toxic Love Story, is slated to talk at a March 13 dinner meeting of the Western Plastics Association in the Doubletree Hotel in Norwalk.

Freinkel interviewed several members of the trade group, at that time operating as the California Film Extruders and Converters Association, during more than three years of research for the project. In total, she interviewed more than 100 people to write her 336-page book, which Houghton Mifflin Harcourt published in April 2011.

The Sacramento, Calif.-based WPA aims to hear speakers with insights and perspectives about the plastics industry and the issues it faces.

Registration and networking begin at 5:30 p.m. with the program following the 6:30 p.m. dinner.
